SES 91: My 10 Hour/Day Work Routine as the Founder

Are you an Entrepreneur? Do you like working for yourself? Well, I do. To begin with, I started my online business about a year ago, but the funding and planning commenced almost 3 years ago. Why did I plan my own online business back then, even though I was working for a client 9-5? To be honest, I was always fascinated by the idea of Entrepreneurship and I always wanted to work for myself.

Also, I’ve always learnt a lot about business and management myself, which pushed me even more to start my own business.

I didn’t start my online business purely to make money, but because of the fact that I was damn interested in the strategies and planning of how money is made. This is the top most reason why I started my business. And having to do what you love, really makes you happy.

I surely love what I do and I believe I’m good at it. The Engineering Mathematics mixed with the SAP Technology and Business Management – that was one of dream plans for my online business, that I’ve built over the last 2 years and which I get to live everyday now. Why I do what I do? I rightly love what I do and so much so, that I can go on working for 6 or 8 or even 12 hours a day (sometimes). But most of the times, I limit myself to working about 10 hours/day.

So, let’s get into the work routine and I think it’s really cool! I work 10 hours a day, but I’m always done with work by 6 hours or sometimes 7 hours. Although I work for 10 hours/day, but I can actually run my business in just about 6-8 hours every day. Wondering, how? Well, I’ve always believed in planning and I like to prioritize my work in order to get things done. Which is why, I always prepare and schedule everything in advance. Talking about the preparation, I usually end up working extra mile to run my business for a month or so. Thus, even if I don’t work, I don’t show up for meetings and conferences with the team, my business still runs perfect and smooth because of the planning I do in advance.

Then why do I put in those extra hours every day when I can run my business successfully in just 6 hours/day? Well, that’s solely because I love what I do so damn much, that I’m motivated every day to work in continuously improving and growing my online business.

Now, let’s break down my 10 hour/day work routine, in order to growing my business. This is my actual routine every week. And to give you some context, I run an online business that provides SAP solutions worldwide to our clients, business consultations and guidance in online marketing and passive income. We’re on track to hit $100,000 revenue by next year (which is not even 12 months of launching). Also, I’ve a support team of 41 professionals, who work for me in running my business and who put in about 30 hours/week. So, let’s get into it!

1. Planning

The first 30 minutes of every day, I spend on the planning. Why do I emphasize on planning that much? In order to be efficient at what I do, optimize my revenue, and reach my goals weeks after weeks, I prefer planning. To maximize the profits and to capitalize everything effectively, I plan out everything every single day.

What I should focus on for that day? What should I put on top priority in terms of business for that day? And what things to prepare for the next day – this all falls under Planning. Every day planning in the first 30 minutes in the morning consists of my top-priority tasks for the day, and the Important things for the day such as things that will impact the business effectively and efficiently for a long run, as planned. I use mainly 2 softwares for business management and planning, which I use for the first 30 minutes of everyday. Sometimes, it consists of planning an event, a giveaway, a content to be created, or a meeting with a client. The software helps me assign tasks to myself and to the team, and keep a check on the tasks to be completed for the day. Also, sometimes I re-schedule other tasks to different days in the week, using the software. After I’m done planning the tasks for the day, I move to the next stage.

2. Content Creation

Content creation is not always the YouTube content, but any form of content creation. Some days I shoot tutorials and lessons for my community members, while on some days I shoot videos for the online programs/courses. Some days I create content for social media, while on other days, I write blogs for the main channel.

The creation of content differs from day to day, but content creation is one thing that gives maximum impact to the business and it’s growth. The more quality content I create with my team, the more prospects and customers the business attracts, and the more people or visitors will be impacted from the content! Every day I spend about 4 hours on content creation.

3. Emails

Most people don’t like it because it takes a lot of your precious time. And I get it why many people want to get it off the plate. That’s why I spend about 30 minutes or so on writing emails to clients, customers, scheduling the business emails on loop, answering the emails to my team back and forth. It’s not that long, but I still prefer emails to connect with clients, customer base and other businesses.

4. Administration

Supporting and managing my team is the next important task for the day. All tasks like – logging into server, writing and running programs myself, saving the projects in the project manager, responding to messages/alerts from my team, answer their queries (if any), transferring files they might need, and doing all sorts of administration work, takes about 3 hours every day.

I try to give it easy to my team who work and help me in growing my online business. I work 3 hours/day giving them the support they need and just making their work little easier in running the business. I give equal responsibilities and aspects of the business to my team members as much as I can, but being my brainchild, I’ve always had a habit of doing everything on my own. Sometimes, I finish almost everything on the platter, that my team doesn’t have to work at all. There are some aspects of the business that I run better, and that only I know, since I’ve ran it all by myself in the beginning. But keeping all that in mind, as the business continues to evolve, I’m now able to hand over and assign the tasks to my team.

5. Miscellaneous Tasks

By now, I’ve spent almost 8 hours of my routine. So, in the second half of the day, I focus on the other projects and miscellaneous tasks for about an hour. Things that are not so important for the day (for the moment), but will be helpful in the near future. These tasks are usually small pieces of a puzzle, which are important for the long run. For me, miscellaneous tasks also cover the upcoming deals/meeting and projects with the new clients. I don’t personally intend to spend my time on such random and miscellaneous things/tasks for the business, but there’s no escape, right? It’s either me or a team member who handles these tasks.

6. Advance Preparation

This is the final stage of my everyday work routine, and probably the significant one too. I always like to keep updated, which is why I prepare everything in advance. Starting from content creation, giveaways, free E-books, market research, SAP server extension and add-ons, generating new leads, prepping for the future blogs, and so much more. This is what I do in the last hour of my day, in terms of preparing everything in advance.

There you have it folks! That’s my everyday 10 hour/day work routine in order to maintain my online business thriving and healthy.

SES 90: How to Start a Scalable Business in 2019?

Every Entrepreneur dreams to have his or her own scalable business. Isn’t it? Like this blog if you think you have. Because I have. I believe every individual working in a traditional 9-5 job wishes to be an Entrepreneur someday and every Entrepreneur wishes to have his online business that can take care of him. Do you know why? Because at the end of the day, we all want freedom and we all want bigger things in life. Building an online business so massive enough that it can take care of everything, will get you freedom!

Well, starting your own revolutionary business could be anything – starting and maintaining a YouTube channel, providing online services to clients, writing books, day trading, pretty much anything and everything. There a thousand ways to win the game when it comes to starting a business. But, whichever idea you choose to build your business around, make sure that it is scalable for the future growth.

So, let’s dive right into the pool of business!

There are broadly two ways to launch your own scalable business. A – To become an expert of a skill, build a community around it, sell your expertise to the community members and you scale. One of the best examples is a YouTuber who starts a channel on YouTube, builds his community around it, sells his expertise in the form of online course or Books and just scales his business further by scaling his YouTube channel. B – You create or design a platform allowing others (subscribers or prospects or buyers) to make money on your platform, and that’s how you just scale in your business with time. The latter type of business model usually targets billions of people worldwide, thus ends up generating millions of dollars for your business.

Let’s dig deeper now! Podcastsimple and damn scalable. If you wish to target your audience with a webinar or from a course, you’ll be achieve that easily. Just think about it – every human on the planet can listen to your podcast and that’s huge. Why so? Because a Podcast is infinitely scalable since it engages billions of people at once. While, promoting and selling your courses 1-on-1 with each customer isn’t scalable. So, if you do a one-to-many broadcast (Podcast/Self-Published Book/Webinars) and share great quality content, then I can guarantee you can start a scalable online business for the next decades.

No matter what your expertise is and no matter what niche you choose to build your business around. In the end, your product should be infinitely scalable enough to make loads of money even when you sleep.

Key Essentials to Scale a Business in 2019

In order to scale your online business, first make sure there’s absolutely no limit to the scalability of your business. Then, you should focus on the essentials for ensure that your business grows and scales to new levels in future. Therefore, the key essentials to scale a business in 2019, are:

1. Scalable Business

A scalable business model is really important for every Entrepreneur today, as only the business idea or a business model that is scalable can make you not just rich, but wealthy with time.

If you have a great skill and selling that skill to others in the form of a course, and you also have a good return from that investment, but if you don’t have a scalable business, then nothing will be able to work for you for the long run.

Personally, I’d recommend to have numerous products (digital products) in order to scale your business. I’ve sold over 10 digital products online so far (which I’ll cover in the upcoming blog). So, creating digital products and building a chain of products inclined with your business niche and expertise, equals great returns since products are infinitely scalable.

2. Great Income Skill

Majorly all of the world’s richest people have one thing in common – a great income skill. It could be their original expertise or maybe something that they’d learnt and mastered over the years. Having an income skill or an expertise brings in a lot of income, since this “great skill” eventually becomes their professional and their area of expertise and their identity in the real world.

3. High Return Investment

With great income skill/expertise, comes the high return investments. Let’s break it down with an example. If you’re a marketer and you know the basic fundamentals of how the market works. So, you write a book and run a couple of marketing campaigns to advertise and sell your book to your customers online. Thus, your book becomes your “High Return Investment“, as writing and publishing a book on one of your skills on a platform like Amazon, is a sure shot at the huge returns for life!

Since, technology landscape and marketing tools and their features are changing rapidly, it is crucial to keep yourself updated and familiar with the marketing models and online marketing strategies and hacks. We all understand online marketing or digital marketing or internet marketing. But it’s actually a huge investment to start your online business. The man is successful in this digital age, who takes full advantage of the internet and makes the best use of all the resources available to him.

In the end, we wish to increase the revenues of our business significantly higher than the investments we put in while starting it. This is the reason why we want to scale our businesses for the future and this is the very definition of a Scalable Business. As long as you have a good solid foundation, great business solution, and expanding + planning strategies, then you’re good to go. Then, you’re good to build and launch your own scalable business!

I hope you’ll find this blog helpful if you’re interested in learning about online business in general and ways to scale your business in 2019. SES 87: Damn Easy Businesses You Can Begin from your Smart Phone

Gone are those days when applying for a job used to take hours standing in a queue and literally submitting a copy of your resume to the HR person of the company. Even applying for a job or a business opportunity via online mode – from your PC (desktop) or laptop (notebook) is seeming to lessen.

Today, everyone owns a smart phone, which is a boon for the economy and development. Smart phones these days, are so well equipped and sophisticated that running a business has become so damn easy. Starting an online business doesn’t require one to have loads of heavy equipment or inventories. You can easily start your own business right from your smart phone, even if you don’t use a computer or don’t own one.

Thus, today I’m going to share all that your phone could do, and if worked smartly and efficiently, you can make the most of it just from your phone. So, let’s get into the pretty easiest businesses and business ideas that you can start right away from your smart phone. Shall we?

1. Writer

Do you too think writing or starting a career as a writer rightfully needs a computer? Think once again! Yes, today many mobile applications provide platforms for blogging like WordPress and Tumblr. Smart phones are in-built with tools required to rectify your errors, manage your day-to-day work/activities and offer a medium to share your Blogs to the world and to your followers.

2. Mobile App Developer

Mobile applications have increasingly popular, no matter what the OS platform. Thus, application development for smart phones is becoming popular too. You can build a mobile application for any platform, test it and run it, right from your smart phone.

This way, you can build and create your own apps for your business/firm that can be helpful to your customers and other users on the platform. You can even sell your app for a profit or even can build mobile apps for various companies or clients.

3. Consultant

This is the easiest one of all. Consultation means – providing and sharing your knowledge or expertise with the companies/client or people, if you are and expert or have an expertise in a certain field. Communicate with your clients for consultation right from your phone, arrange or schedule meetings and Skype calls, setup video conferences (if required) for the consultation – all this can be done from your phone. Some consultants even provide post-consultation support to their clients and stay in touch with them.

4. Social Media Marketer

Did you know social media platforms and other emerging social media applications offer a number of opportunities to marketers and freelance managers? Many social media companies hire marketers and freelancers to manage their official social media accounts on various platforms and provide them with good content for their products/services. If you like interacting with people on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, then you’d like working as a social media marketer or social media manager from your phone and become an influencer yourself by promoting brands to your followers and help clients get more potential customers.

5. Event Manager

A hell lot of organizational skills and planning is required when it comes to Parties and Weddings. If you work as an Event Manager/Planner, you can plan, design, arrange and schedule anything and everything from your phone, with the help of mobile apps. Also, running an event business from your phone will be a good idea as you can stay in touch with your clients and vendors via emails and calls.

6. Back Office Support/Remote Support

As a Remote Tech Support or Back-Office Support, you can provide tech support to a number of clients for a fixed rate or a hourly rate, where you can work from your phone wherever you are, follow up with the customers and clear their queries, giving them solutions they’re looking for and help them with their tech issues. All this can be done very conveniently from your smart phone.

7. Airbnb Host

Do you have an extra house or space in your house? Do you have an extra room that you want to rent out? If yes, then Airbnb is the solution what you need. Rent out the extra property and space in your apartment, by taking their pictures and create listings. Manage the rental process and follow up with your customers or paying guests from your phone!

8. Virtual Assistant

Every company or individual or even a business needs virtual assistance every now and then. I’ve had virtual assistance for about a year or so to take care of the extra work load from my plate, so that I can focus on things topping the priority list.

As a virtual assistant, you can work on pretty much anything and everything remotely, that depends totally on your client. It can be buying event tickets, looking up desired flight tickets, arranging business Skype calls, etc. As a VA, you get to work for your client on an hourly rate, plus do your own thing as well, since you’ll work remotely.

9. E-Commerce Seller

The number of E-Commerce users has increased drastically in the few years, because of the number of mobile applications. And using such user-friendly mobile applications, one can buy anything from groceries to electronics to apparels, from E-Commerce websites/apps. You can even setup your online business on any of the top E-Commerce sites to sell your own products.

10. Trainer/Coach

If you have ample of free time, then this option will be helpful to you. You can give out your services like training and coaching in a particular expertise or niche (relationship advice, health, business consultation) to the customers or clients/companies. You can even design a website for the same, where customers locally can book the services and get the benefit of your training or coaching. Again, all this is possible from a smart phone.

I hope you’ll find this blog helpful if you’re interested in learning about easy ways to launch your business or if you want to start your online business from your phone. SES 85: 10 Things I Wish I Knew Before I Started Blogging

With time, everything becomes perfect, or at least gets close to perfection. Similarly, if you’re a blogger, then with practice and time, your writing style will improve enormously. And reading your blogs, experienced people and marketers can very clearly see how far you’ve come and how much you have improved in your writing.

Once you have a decent experience of writing or blogging, then you can easily point out your faults. When you look back at your first few blogs, then you’d know what to avoid, what not to, and teach others (beginners) or who are just starting out. Wondering, how??

Well, personally I remember what all it took to start and launch a successful blog. Back then, I was not familiar with many systems, platforms and even good contacts or mentors to follow. So, I didn’t know any better!

Today, I collected and penned down some of the things I wish I knew, for you to avoid those mistakes. Thus, here are my top 10 Things I Wish I Knew Before I Started Blogging in 2015.

#1. Become Regular (more)

Honestly, back then I didn’t have dedicated time for blogging. I just used to write out the content whenever I got time and whenever I felt like writing. The blogs were not consistent back then, as I used to post once or twice a month. Since I didn’t post good content regularly, I started losing my followers and subscribers.

Cut to today – I plan and write out and schedule my blogs for an entire month in advance, and that too with consistency – I gotta say, things are way different now, compared to 2015.

#2. Don’t Lose Focus

For my past business, I used to write content, literally any piece of content whenever I got time. There was no timeline or schedule. Although my niche back then was – Pharmaceuticals and Fashion. But I never followed my niche, instead I used to write about anything and everything.

One of the biggest things I’ve learnt over the years of blogging, is to NEVER LOSE FOCUS. Concentrating on one niche has made me more clear-headed and strong with my choices and expertise.

#3. Patience is the Key

If you’re looking for fame, recognition or some status, won’t make you successful and you wouldn’t even start a blog. I remember only 24 people read my first few blogs back then, out of which 10 were my family. LOL!

Don’t expect overnight success in blogging. Building your personal brand and growing your blog massively, takes times time. So, it is advisable to be patient when you’re blogging, because patience goes hand-in-hand with consistency. Being dedicated and committed – is what I’ve learnt over the years.

#4. Write Guest Post for Other Bloggers

In the beginning, I was way too shy and conscious to approach other bloggers or businesses to write guest posts for their blogs.

Thus, now I’d recommend every blogger who’s starting out, to collaborate with other bloggers in your niche, actually in any niche for that matter, and write guest posts (good content) for them. The more the guest posts you write for others, the more recognition and the more you’ll grow your audience.

#5. Invite Guest Writers

Inviting guest bloggers and writers is equally important in order to grow your blog quickly. Try to find good writers who can contribute to your blog and bring in more subscribers/customers.

Many writers would love to write good content (in your niche) for your blog, which means you’d develop great professional relationship with your guest writers/contributors, also you’ll have more of your content published for the readers/visitors to check out.

#6. Capture Your Readers

When I first started writing blogs, I only used to think about the content I used to write. I never thought about my audience and the readers reading my blogs. This is the reason why I lost focus at the time and didn’t have the target set in terms of blogging.

I’d suggest everyone to write captivating and engaging content to capture your reader’s attention. Having capturing and engaging blog posts will ensure that your readers will keep coming back to you (your website) for more content.

#7. Put Your Audience on Top Priority

I never kept my audience on the top most priority of my list, initially. I believed, as long as I wrote good content, I’d have new readers coming in, thus making my blog grow.

It doesn’t matter if you write blogs for fun or for money, or even for your passion. The audience is way too important, so you should always keep your audience and readers on top priority.

#8. Blog Design = Crucial!

There’s no hard in using the free templates for your blog designing. But, I’d recommend investing in your design. Many a times, the design template or how visually will look at the readers/visitors, tells a lot about your blog.

Get a nice decent paid version of a theme for your blog or website. Make sure whatever theme or design template you choose for your blogs is sleek and very easy to use, so that your readers will keep coming back to your blog.

#9. Make Money Blogging

I remember I used to blog just because I loved writing. I never thought I could make money from my blogs! I used to very little marketing for my blogs, in order to promote them and reach more and more people. This is one of the reasons why I couldn’t capture my readers.

Trust me, if you write blogs as your only job, you’d definitely be successful. HOW?? Blogging in your niche as a job, instead of a hobby or just passion can bring more collaborations and brand deals. This is how bloggers make money online.

#10. Keep Up The Momentum

Once you’re successful and you’ve been blogging for a while, you’d spend time thinking and planning other aspects and conditions that come with blogging. Like Sponsor Acceptance, Brand Deals, Giveaways, etc. These are secondary when it comes to growing your brand or business.

Always keep your blogs real and authentic. Think why you started blogging in the first place, what drove you here and what factors made you who you are today. Think of all these and then go about blogging and make sure your future blogs are inclined towards these pointers!

I hope you’ll find this blog helpful if you’re interested in learning how to start a successful blog or things you should avoid and focus on, if you’re just starting out. SES 84: Podcast Versus YouTube Channel

Should I start a YouTube channel? Should I start a Podcast? These questions are always on your mind when you want to become an influencer or grow your business online. Many people are starting a YouTube channel or a Podcast or maybe both, and want to optimize the monetization strategies, and lot more.

Doing Podcast and YouTube both can be really awesome for the personal branding and for your business. But, just dumping or giving away any content on both the channels won’t really help you, unless and until you have certain strategies to actually make it grow and sustain for the years to come.

So, today I’ll discuss with you all the key points one should keep in mind when it comes growing YouTube + Podcast channels, top strategies for building your brand in the market.

You ready?? Let’s go!

YouTube Versus Podcast

  • For a YouTube channel, a lot of work is required, starting with shooting good videos, kind of look good (presentable) for the videos, which doesn’t happen in Podcast creation.
  • A lot more behind-the-scenes (BTS) happens for a Podcast. For example, you need to setup a lot of equipments and tools before doing a podcast.
  • On YouTube, once you have your video file edited and ready to roll, you directly upload it online and start your channel from there.
  • In case of a Podcast, you must host your media files on a separate hosting platform (many cheap hosting platforms are available online), before publishing or making it live for your audience/viewers. Why a separate platform to host your media file? Because, you’re not required to upload individual Podcast episode files to iTunes, Spotify, Google. Rather, you must build an RSS feed and submit it these channel, so that it notifies all the subscribers subscribed to those channels and platforms, whenever your new Podcast episode it live.
  • If people watch your YouTube videos for over 5 minutes, then you’ve done a great job, which means that you can grab the attention of your audience really easily and quickly. Another benefit of building a YouTube channel, is the YouTube Live feature, where you interact with your viewers live or maybe promote your marketing campaigns directly at the end of the Live.
  • A fairly huge amount of people listen to Joe Rogan’s Podcast for over 1 hour/2 hours/3 hours, which happens in just one sitting. And for a YouTuber, this is absolutely great! In a Podcast, you’ve the power to connect with your audience, tell a story, give away valued content in the episode, call out for actions from the listeners, etc.
  • Another advantage of a Podcast is the way it is being consumed. You can listen to a podcast pretty much anywhere and everywhere – while driving, in a flight or even while jogging. Whereas, you cannot watch videos on YouTube while doing all kinds of activities. This makes Podcast stronger than YouTube.
  • Talking about the numbers, there are about 500 Million YouTube channels running right now and less than 1 Million Podcasts. Thus, competition is less for Podcast, so you can start your Podcasts any time, it’s still not that late. But in the end, it always boils down to the overall number of viewers/views for your YouTube videos versus to the number of actual listeners for your Podcasts!
  • You can build an actual deep connection with your listeners on Podcast, with the type of quality content you give away to them. Whereas in case of YouTube, it is always about physical appearances, shooting methods, live feed, valuable content (again), marketing, SEO, appropriate and curious thumbnails and video titles, so that it’s recommended by YouTube to other users online, making it a viral or trending (with maximum number of shares).

I hope you’ll find this blog helpful if you’re interested in learning about Podcast and YouTube, and how both platforms can boost your personal brand and grow your business online. SES 83: Ideas to Create a Profitable Online Course

How to come up with good ideas for an online course? How to build ideas for a profitable online course? These are the two main questions we come across when we want to create our own online courses. You have knowledge on a certain topic/niche, and you wish to share it with the world, in the form of a digital course. But you don’t have an idea to create a course. Or maybe you don’t know if your idea for the online course will be profitable or not. Been there? Done that?

Thus, today in this blog I’ll be breaking down the essential stages in the online course creation process. Let’s dive right into it!

1. Idea Generation

To generate good ideas means to generate potential and profitable ideas. For creating courses online, you may already have a few ideas. If you want to be more specific, then you can think of the people/audience you want to create your online course for.

Sometimes, it may happen that you don’t have ideas for online courses. But, if you can’t come up with good ideas (or maybe any kind of ideas), then you should start reading good content (articles/blogs/tutorials), in order to get a couple of ideas.

2. Analysis of Ideas

Once you have got your idea, it is time to check the potential of the idea. Analyse if your idea can solve problems or issues of people, check from a customer’s/buyer’s perspective, if your online course idea can help them find a solution.

If just the idea is not enough, then think about the other relevant sub-topics that you can cover or that collectively can solve the problems of the buyers online, and that makes your course unique than other on the internet.

3. Test for Profitability

This is the last stage of the online course creation process. Here, take your course for a test drive. Yes, look for profitability in all aspects. As far as the marketing is concerned, test for profitability of your course idea. Does your course bring in good number of sales with the appropriate marketing? Will it make more and more profits marking a huge revenue in the market?

If your recommend your online course to someone, will that person buy it from your recommendation? Will that personal recommendation make you sales? Testing for profitability covers this aspect as well, especially if you want to check for the profits your course idea can bring in.

Thus, brainstorming your ideas again and again is really important to make sure that you have a profitable course idea. Narrow down your course idea and validate the idea. Lastly, simply refine your course topics for the same. So, this is how you end up making a huge profitable online course!

Search for a Course that’s already bringing in Revenue

If your a few courses that are running online for a while now. Then for your next online course, you should look for a particular course from that list that’s already making loads of money, more than others. Search for the one that’s already bringing in more revenue than others. If your course idea can solve problems of users or help them find solution to their issues, and if your narrow down a specific group of people (target audience) that’s ready to pay you for your course, then you can instantly validate your idea, since that will be your “ideal course” that brings in more revenue into your bank.

The After Effects

Once you’ve successfully launched your online course and it is doing good by making pretty good sales, then it’s time to sit back, and relax! No, that’s not true at all. Rather, you should keep in touch with your customers or your course buyers, and regularly survey them.

  • How did you find my course online (from which platform/website/blog directly?
  • How was your experience in learning that topics in your course? (Check if they want more topics to be covered)
  • What’s your one challenge you face with that particular topic? (Dig deep, I’m serious!)
  • Did my course solve that challenge/problem for you? (This is a brownie point for designing sales page!)
  • What are your go-to blogs/websites for reading on various stuff? What groups/forums/email channels are you subscribed to? (Get references, and above all – way to get new prospects.)

Thus, it is better to have an online course. And it is even better to have potential online course ideas. You can hone and narrow down your course ideas either by working on your passion – what you’re good at, and profit mark – what customers pay you for your courses.

SES 79: Passive Income Streams to make $1000+ per month – Learn with me!

Let’s face it. We all wish to make extra money at every point in life. Working 9 to 5 was never the only job to support your family, cover your expenses and monthly bills. But we’re afraid and we think we don’t have a choice.

Do you know the secret behind making extra rather, more and more money (probably more than your monthly salary)?? It’s cultivating and nurturing your streams for passive income to get you extra income. Some people have already done it and have quit their daily jobs too!

Think about it. Your passive income streams make money while you sleep! Isn’t that a forever dream we all wish to have?

So, following are the top 10 ways to start generating passive income for yourself, some of which are my personas income streams, too. Let’s go, then.

1. Publish an E-book

Writing a book may sound little tough for the newbies and beginners, but for the bloggers, it’s damn easy. Writing an e-book won’t get you good income, unless and until you promote and advertise it very well. Making a Paperback version of the e-book also helps, but an e-book gets more number of sales because it is priced low.

If you have an email list, you can directly advertise and sell your e-book to your subscribers or your email lists. In order to learn something new, the online courses usually range from $75 to $1000. While the e-books just costs less than $10, which makes it the easiest option to make good sales, and hence, a lot of extra income.

2. Polls/Surveys

There’s a million things you can do on the internet and get paid for it. Don’t trust me? Well, many students and retired professionals earn a decent of extra income every month by taking surveys regularly, taking polls on given topics time-to-time, watch videos and ads, or simply by surfing the internet.

It only depends on the genuine and appropriate websites you sign up for. Only those can get you a side-income, instead of applying for all of them on the internet.

3. Online Courses

If you think you have knowledge on a certain topic and you believe it can be helpful to others, then you can collect that knowledge and produce it in the form of an online course.

One of my online courses on UdemySAP Screen Personas Beginner’s Level Edition

The best platforms available on the internet to create your online courses and make money out of them for life are – Udemy and Teachable.

4. Affiliate Marketing

You can start affiliate marketing immediately if you have a blog running or a website for your business. Affiliate marketing is proven to be one of the best options to earn huge money online, and that too quicker if you do it right.

When you advertise an affiliate product online on your blog or to your email lists, and when your audience click and land on the landing page or sales page of the product through your link (affiliate link), then you get a commission for the same after the sales.

5. Promote Your Blog

You can put a good number of ads in your blog, if you have a great audience and subscribers for your blog. You can advertise various products (affiliate as well), either at the bottom of each page or on the side-bar/side-column. By doing so, you can get paid per view or per click for each ad. Thus, you can generate a pretty decent chunk of income from your blog’s ad revenue.

6. Become an Influencer

This option is a fairly good option when it comes to earning on the go, like literally, specially when you have a huge social media following. By being a social media influencer, you can get paid for marketing a product or doing and advertising campaign for a firm or company.

Many social media influencers make tonnes of money by combining their own blogs/vlogs (ads + affiliate links) with the marketing campaigns they promote, which for the long run, provides a consistent income, if scaled properly and regularly.

7. Invest in Day Trading

In case you’re new to day trading, it is a consistent practice of buying and selling more than one security positions in a single day of trading. Give yourself a good amount of time in learning all the concepts and terms about trading from the scratch and start practice on a demo account.

With day trading, you can deal with hundreds of shares with leverage, and get a consistent small profit on each trade ($2 – $5). Once, you practice for a long time, you can take positions on the basis of a stock’s probable price direction and position in that particular trading period.

8. Invest in Bonds & Stocks

You can generate a huge capital income or dividends, if you invest in stocks, bonds and equities. There are many stock brokers available on the internet to start with. So after doing your research, you can begin investing in the commodities on the basis of the commission rates.

9. Rent Your Property

If you have a property that you no longer use, like an old house, you can list it out on AirBnb or you can rent it out to your friend or colleagues who are looking for ready-to-move rented apartments. Renting the extra bedroom with your colleagues can get you a passive income for a long run.

While with Airbnb, you can become a host yourself and make anywhere from $500 to $1000 every month without any big efforts, which can help you as a side-income to cover your bills.

10. Merchandise on CafePress

This is a great way to earn a passive income if you’re good at graphic designing or you’ve had experience in designing for your past projects or business.

Design every item on-demand and if your customers aren’t satisfied with the product after the purchase, CafePress comes with a Return/Exchange option for 30-days period. Unleash your creative side and let your customers buy your merchandise with your designs. Also, the platform has a strong back-end customer support team to take care of everything. This way, you can easily earn commissions quickly and steadily.

Thus, there were some of the genuine and best ways to make a passive income of $1000 every month online. If you wish to begin cultivating any of these income streams, it will end up bringing in loads of income, which is the major reason why people these days quit their regular 9-5 jobs and make money on the internet while they sleep!

SES 76: How to Start a Business NO Money?

Have you heard someone say, “I don’t have enough money to start a business, but I have ideas for my business”? Starting any kind of business is little easy when you have a good bank balance or some funds for your business. Initial funding is helpful if you’re thinking to start a product-based business.

Thus, today I’m going to tell you the truth which you probably know it already or maybe you don’t want to hear it. But either way, if you’re thinking of starting a business for yourself with no money, or planning to start making money for your business, then you should know all your options. And truth is that you should think of getting a job – a part-time or a full-time job. Yes, getting a job or having a job purely means a constant flow of money to your bank every month, which gives you financial stability. Plus, you can always start any kind of business, with your savings or once you have sufficient funds to start one.

I understand the whole “I don’t want to work for someone else” and “I want to become my own boss”. But trust me, it becomes a lot easier if you have a job and have some money to begin your business. You might have heard – Having a job makes you less desperate to get a job anywhere. This principle works for all fields, irrespective of the job types. If you’re already working or have a job, then you have confidence required for the next job; you have the right kind of mindset to get a job. If you have a job but you don’t have enough savings or money to start your business, then you can get a loan from a bank.

If you have a certain amount of funds coming in (perhaps from a job that you’re doing), then you’d know that you don’t really crave for that money, rather you’d know that you need it for your business, as you want to become your own boss. Once you’re content with your aim in life and the job that you’re doing, you can have your bills covered and support yourself financially, which will make you free and independent. That way, you can successfully initiate your own business from the scratch.

The constant money flowing or coming in from your job, will be useful to support your business you wish to launch, since you’ll be able to start a business quickly and efficiently, plus you’ll be able to invest in all the aspects of your business, instead of taking loans from the bank.

Investing in a business can take up any form. Let’s say you want to invest in hiring a good talent to advertise your business and make your business a big brand, or a designer to design your business’s website, or even a graphic designing. Purchasing a software for your business, or buying a subscription, can be called investments for your business. Thus, the more you invest in your business, the quicker it will grow. The amount of time your business will take to grow into a huge brand and reach thousands of customers worldwide, totally depends on how much you spend or invest in your business.

Money’s flowing in, now what?

So, once you have a job that gives you financial stability and once you have enough funds raise to start your business, become your own boss, what should you do? What to do next? The next step before starting a business, is to get a valuable skill, something that you can offer to the clients or customers for your business. Make sure to learn a high-paying skill that will either make your customer’s life easy, or help a client make significantly more profit using your skill. FYI, these are not the easy skills, we’re talking about the high-paying skills to acquire. Because if the skills were very easy to acquire for a business, or to get clients, then everybody would have these skills and they wouldn’t be valuable any more. Learn and acquire a skill that’s not easy to find on the internet for free, very rare and something that will make you distinguish from other or your competitors in the market, using which you’ll be able to provide value to others. By learning and eventually mastering these high-paying skills will transform you and your business valuable for the clients or companies and will also boost your earning potential.

Once you’ve learnt the skill necessary for your business to attract clients, start practicing for free for some period of time, in the beginning. Why? Because you need to be good at it. You should be good at what you do and what you do, based on which you’ll be able to attract clients easily and charge them accordingly with time. Acquiring a skill is an easy step, but learning each and every aspect of it and mastering the skill is tricky and tough too, which is why people usually give up after a certain time when they get no leads or no business.

Besides your regular day job, I’d suggest freelancing too, whenever you get time (after work, or weekends), which will keep your finances flowing at a constant rate. When you develop or build a content that helps people and also demonstrates your niche or your expertise, then you’ll naturally attract clients. These clients will be able to see how good you are at what you do, which is why they’d love to hire you to work with you again in the future.

Therefore, the major step in making money, starting your own business and becoming your own boss, is to freelance and work on the side. Don’t quit your regular job (day job) yet, so that you have money flowing in consistently.

Ways to Starting a Business

Let’s say you’re working for your regular day job, and also freelancing on the side. Then, you’ll have two options for starting your own business.

  • Option 1: Try to get more and more number of individual clients to hire you for your services from freelancing, so that you earn enough money to support your business or simply make money equivalent to what you earn at your day job.
  • Option 2: You can determine or calculate the reasonable amount of money that you’d need to support your business, and once you’ve crossed that threshold level, you can quit your day job.

So, now you have wide options as per your budget as to which option you’re comfortable with. You can decide then whether you want to earn just enough money from freelancing for your business, or simply as much as you want from your freelancing projects. Continue this process until you’ve sufficient income coming in to support your business and cover all your bills.

Working as a freelancer you’ll be able to work for your business full-time and grow your business and make it a huge brand. This whole process not just gives you initial funding to start your business, but it also gives you enough confidence for various number of opportunities available for you in the market. Now, you can either continue freelancing projects on the side for financial stability, or you can start hiring people for your business and scale it to whole new level. Plus, you can always enhance your skills and implement them into your business to grow your business bigger and better.

I hope you’ll find this blog helpful if you’re interested in launching your own business in any niche of your choice, or if you have very less budget to no funds at all to start a business. Do share this blog with your friends or family, who you think are planning to start their business in the near future and you think this article will be really helpful to them. SES 73: Significance of a Landing Page in a Business

Did you know around 71% of all major B2B Businesses use Landing Pages to generate prospects or leads for their businesses? Landing page is damn important and has been a hot topic of discussion for businesses since few years now. Businesses using landing pages are proven to generate more business, and thus, more revenue!

For those newbies out there who don’t know what I’m talking about, a landing page is a web page designed by a developer or a business, in order to drive more traffic, get more number of sales, improve their SEO and therefore, build their brand even stronger in the market. A landing page is designed and developed in a way that it attracts customers or viewers and compels them to take action for your products or services. A landing page is different from the home page serving solely one purpose for the viewer or customer. It can be designed in a way that it gives the visitor some context for your products or services. For many businesses today, landing pages provide any kind of offer or a limited offer deal for your customers or buyers.

Is Landing Page Important? Why should I use one?

Designed a full-fledged website for your business? Good job! So now it’s time to convert those deals or offers into sales. If you’ve been thinking of a way to get those sales and hit those numbers in the revenue, then developing a landing page is highly recommended.

There’s a myth or a misunderstanding actually that designing landing pages take so much of time and are difficult to maintain. This is the major reason why not all the businesses use landing pages in their business. The whole and sole objective behind designing a landing page is to drive and send your viewers from home page or main content page, to the offer page, where they’re compelled or convinced to either purchase the services or products from your brand.

Not all types of landing pages get a great number of sales. Thus, here I’m breaking down the salient features or traits of a landing page. So, make sure if you design a landing page for your business, it serves the following.

Traits and Must-Haves for a Landing Page

  • Clear – Cut Content: The content of a landing page should always be on-point and very clear for the visitors and customers. The main motive behind developing one should be to get the customer what they’re looking for, so they come back for more. Usually, a landing page asks some contact details from the buyer or customer, like legal name, email address and contact number, filling which the buyer gets registered in the business for the specific deal or offer.
  • Get Target-Audience: With the help of customized marketing campaigns, you can concentrate on the customer base and target your audience who you think will buy the end product or services from you or your business. Thus, it is advisable to design a landing page for a specific product for a specific portion of audience, so that you get good number of leads from that particular campaign and landing page.
  • Offers live on Landing Pages: About 64% of the sales generate from the landing pages. So, design a landing page in such a way that it serves your target audience and also gets good sales too. Why does the sales of your offers or deals or limited – period coupons or courses depend on the landing page? Because the offers live on the landing pages, which is why those landing pages with clarity and driving force to turn visitors into buyers, have their offers on them. So, basically you can say a deal or an offer on your website lives on the landing page.
  • Gather Customer Info: The idea behind landing pages is not just to turn the visitors or viewers into buyers, but to gather information from them. The agenda behind gathering customer data is to know what the customer is looking for, why he clicked on the back links or your landing page and how he can turn into your loyal customer for your business long term.
  • Offers within Offer: Once a user click on your landing page, you can provide them with other offers and deals they’d be interested in, or you can ask them to sign up for your email list to receive regular updates about your products or services and your business, or simply drive them to your social media pages or accounts, in order to grow as a business.
  • Hey, say Thank You: Usually, all landing pages come with a ‘Thank You’ page for your customers and visitors. This page is followed right after the offer page. Thus, once the customer likes what you’re offering and buys the product or service from your brand, then he is directed to a ‘Thank You’ page. This is just a tiny gesture, but it shows that your business values the customers, plus a thank you page marks the end of the registration process.

Living in this digital economy and growing as a brand, every business must indulge in landing pages for their businesses, since it is not only beneficial for the customers, but also for the business. The motive behind a landing page is to convert visitors into buyers or customers, and it totally depends how a landing page is designed.

SES 70: Breaking Down the Instagram Algorithm

Want to grow your Personal or Business account on Instagram? Want to get more followers on your Instagram as soon as possible? For those who are new to Instagram and are still getting familiar with every option and the settings, Instagram is a social media app, which lets you store and upload pictures, short video clips on the internet from your smart phone. You can like a picture or a post by giving it a heart, comment and follow others on the platform.

If you have been on the platform for quite some time now, and want to grow your profile, want to get more followers, then it is highly important for you to understand how Instagram works. Understanding the algorithm of this social media star and how it works, will allow you to grow with it quicker than you think.

So, today I’m going to break down the Algorithm with clarity to understand Instagram better.

  • Post to a Small Part of Audience: Did you know that every time you post a picture on Instagram at whatever time, the app algorithm actually displays your post to a very small part or portion of your followers. It initially shows it to only a few people. Why so? This happens just to test whether or not your followers like your post. Let’s say you have about 2000 followers on your Instagram, the algorithm will display it to only 70-100 of your followers to check if they like your post. And how does the algorithm check if your followers are interested in your picture/post? Well, it looks for the engagement the post gets – the number of likes and screen time. The algorithm determines the amount of time people spend to look at your post and calls it the screen time for that post. So, the algorithm will keep showing your post to more number of your followers if it gets good engagement and screen time. Also, the engagement of a post on Instagram is proportional to the size of its audience/followers.
  • Post goes to More People: Once the Instagram algorithm shows your picture/post of the initial smaller portion of your followers, it shows it to more and more people on the platform depending upon the amount of engagement it receives. So, the algorithm basically calculates how many more people to show it to, based on the engagement of the number of people in your audience with your post. It then shows it to 20%-25% of more of your followers checking if they would be interested in your picture/post. Algorithm repeats the process by showing your post to a larger portion of your audience until the engagement gets close to null, when the algorithm stops showing your post to people, when it finds no percentage of engagement with your post.
  • The Hero – #hashtag: People use so many crazy #hashtags these days to reach more and more people. But, not many people know that the Instagram algorithm uses the #hashtags as the search terms on Instagram. The #hashtags work in the similar fashion as the keywords in SEO on the internet. So, whenever you use any kind of #hashtag in your post, it serves the search terms of the algorithm grid. Whenever you search a particular #hashtag on the platform, the algorithm shows you all the posts with that #hashtag, with the relevant post that you’re looking for or you’d like at the top of the search result list. Now, to answer your query, in order to get more engagement of your post with the audience, make sure to use those kind of #hashtags to end up in the top search results, as it’s likely for people to find the top posts in the search #hashtag grid, click on your profile and follow your account. This way, the number of followers increases. Moreover, Instagram algorithm calculates the placement of numerous posts on Instagram using the #hashtags based on two features of the post – 1) How recent is the post? According to algorithm, the most recent posts tend to get higher ranks in the top searched #hashtags. 2) The kind of Engagement of the post, which is calculated as per the account size (followers count).
  • Accounts Suggestion: This is a tricky one to understand. The Instagram algorithm suggests accounts to huge number of users or people, which is why these accounts get high number of followers and engagement. So, how does it work? How does the algorithm show Instagram accounts in the suggested section? When a user follows someone’s Instagram account, let’s say ‘X’ and then follows your Instagram account, then the algorithm suggests your Instagram account to other users on the platform who like or follow the ‘X‘ Instagram account. Easy but little tricky, isn’t it? So, this is how the Instagram algorithm shows up different Instagram accounts or profiles in the suggested section to the users on the platform. Also, the algorithm works excellent for collabs! Suppose you’re collaborating with someone for work, then automatically you’re driving that person’s Instagram audience, which boosts your followers count too and vice versa.

I hope you’ll find this blog helpful if you’re interested in the Instagram Algorithm to get the maximum out of the platform for your business.
